A friend just sent me this picture. It was taken in Pelican Valley back in August. A girl was eaten by a bear here back in the late 80's while backpacking. It is the only unprovoked bear attack on record. He pulled her out of the tent while she slept. The bear was never found and camping is no longer allowed in the Valley.
